After being honorably discharged from the military, Harold went to work for Brown and Root Construction where he retired as a Construction Superintendent after thirty-five years.
He then returned home to Dellwood, Florida where he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Harold love to spend time with family and his beloved best friend "Molly".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmage Mercer and Ada Mercer; wife, Sylvia Mercer; one daughter, Stacy Camacho; sisters, Inez Edwards, Laverne Ussery, Mary Mercer, and Millard Hall; brothers, Herbert Mercer, Marion Mercer, and Relma Mercer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Welcome Assembly of God Church in Dellwood, Florida
