Grace Ann Aaron, age 94, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died Friday, June 4, 2021.


Grace was born February 10, 1927, in Ann Arbor, Michigan the daughter of Louis Martin and Gwendolyn (Richards) Schanz.


She and Eugene "Gene" Aaron were married October 10, 1947, in Indiana.


They moved from Ann Arbor to Fayetteville 16 years ago.


She retired after a long career as an elementary school teacher in the Ypsilanti, Michigan public school system, where she taught underprivileged children, and provided them a safe haven.


She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family. She shared her love of reading and learning with all the many children she impacted throughout the years.


Grace was a career student and enjoyed taking classes at the University of Arkansas Global Center after moving to Fayetteville.


She was preceded in death by her husband; and a grandson, Christopher Burnette.


She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Burnette (and husband, Don) of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and cousins.


A Graveside Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Donna Huey.
