Loretta J. Bogart, 81, of Saylorsburg, died on Friday, April 27, 2018, at St.Luke's Hospital–Monroe Campus.
She was the loving wife of the late Richard Bogart. They were married for 51 years at the time of his passing on Feb. 4, 2006.
Born in Saylorsburg on March 4, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Eva (Buskirk) Artz.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished the time spent with her family. She was a great cook and will always be remembered for her no-egg chocolate cake, which everyone loved. She enjoyed taking long country rides with her husband and admired the beautiful scenery. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by three sons: Randolph Bogart of Bassett, Virginia; Mark Bogart of Saylorsburg; and Timothy Bogart of Lehighton; five daughters: Jill Reuter of Saylorsburg, Cindy Padilla-Acevedo of Saylorsburg, Wendy Shiffer of Stroudsburg, Cathy VanBilliard of Saylorsburg,and Lora Kuehner of Kunkletown, She is survived by seven grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Adam, Katie, Richard, Cody and Melissa; and six great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one brother and nine sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan Kuehner and a brother, Ernest Artz.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Eaton Cemetery, Saylorsburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38101.
