Chester Anthony "Chet" Bielski was born on May 3, 1916 In Brooklyn, Kings County, New York to Valentine Bielski and Jenny Borkwaska Bielski. He had three siblings. Chet attended the New York Conservatory of Music and was a professional pianist.

About 1944 he married Esther Elizabeth Thiemann of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, and they became the parents of Paula Bielski Ries. The family lived in the North College Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati. After 19 years Chet retired in 1977 as the entertainer at the Busy Bee Restaurant and Lounge in the Clifton area of Cincinnati.

Chet passed away at age 82 on October 21, 1998 in Cincinnati. He is buried near his wife at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati.
