Memorial services for David Gilbert Abrahamson, Sr., 66, of Lugoff, SC, formerly of Cape Cod, Massachusetts will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. William F. Summers will officiate. The family will receive friends in John Knox Hall following the memorial service. Mr. Abrahamson died Saturday, December 30, 2006. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Alfred and Elsie Dahl Abrahamson. Mr. Abrahamson was a retired state employee from Massachusetts and was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and a long time member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He worked many years in manufacturing and building maintenance. He had a passion for life and has touched many people.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Carver Abrahamson; children: Lisa Abrahamson of Bradenton, FL, David Abrahamson, Jr. of Barnstable, Mass., step-children, Kevin Silver & his wife, Rhonda of Charlotte, NC, Wendy Katz & her husband, Sheldon of Webster, Mass, Marsha Livingston and her husband, Gregory of Valdez, Alaska, Michael Silver & his wife, Deborah of Deering, N.H., Rebecca Silver-Aunes & her husband, Scott of Fort Mill, SC; 7 grandchildren.
Mr. Abrahamson was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Abrahamson.
