On April 30, 1892, he married Cora S Caldwell in Ashby, Grant County, Minnesota. The couple had two children, Vernon and Lawrence. While living in Elbow Lake, Lynn was a butcher, served on the village council and was an efficient deputy sheriff.
About 1900, the family moved from Minnesota to Spokane, Washington. Lynn and Cora divorced in 1910.
Between 1911-1914, Lynn moves to California and marries Mable Crow and they have one child, Clifford.
His obituary was published in the Oakland California Tribune on August 1, 1929
