Mrs. GEORGE COONS
Mrs. Hilda J. Coons, 73, of Dalton, Mass., and formerly of Bennington, died early this morning in Dalton after a long illness.
A native of Bennington, she was born Jan 28, 1900, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Russell) Jones, and she received her education in the local public schools. She was a member of the Dalton Episcopal Church, and was formerly employed in the woolen mills of that area.
She is survived by her husband, George of Dalton; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Palmer and Mrs. Elaine Hugabone of Pittsfield, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Park of Bennington and Mrs. Maude Boutwell of Rutland; two brothers, Gardner Jones of Bennington and Russell Jones of Pittsfield.
The funeral will be Wednesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Dalton, at a time to be announced. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9. Burial will be in Crane Cemetery, Dalton.
