He was born November 10, 1851, in Iowa, and came to Kansas, in 1857, settling in Lyon county.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Francis Schaeffer, of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Laura Snow, of Berkley, California, and Mrs. E. M. Harper, of Emporia, Kansas, and a brother Quincy B. Ogden, of Oregon.
