CARLSBAD - Eric Joseph Behan-Brewer, 31, of W. Orchard Lane, Carlsbad, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 at his home.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m., today (Nov. 11) at Denton-Wood Funeral Home
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Walter Gerrells Performing Arts Centre with Terry Haake presiding.
Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Eric Joseph Behan-Brewer was the backbone of his family and the shining light to everyone with whom he came in contact. He was born May 11, 1976 in Bradford, Pa. and left this earth Nov. 7, 2007 in Carlsbad. Eric was the heart and soul of Extreme Audio and the brightest star throughout the Carlsbad Mall. He loved racing cars and motorcycles and installing home audio systems in many homes throughout Carlsbad. Eric was an electronic expert always knowing what was the most up-to-date available. He was the best brother and son anyone could ever have.
Survivors include: his mother, Cathy Brewer of Carlsbad; two sisters: Nichole Behan of Salt Lake City and Ryan Brewer of Carlsbad; his step-father Dan Brewer and wife, Yolanda of Los Alamos; step-sister Carmela Smith of Atlanta; step-brother: Vincent Smith of Las Cruces; grandmother Leola Brewer of Carlsbad; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins; and 18 extended brothers: Chuy, Eddie, Matt, Ricco, Craig, Derek, Damon, John, Neto, Boski, Butters, Java, Lonnie, Jessie, Danny, Gerard, Ricky and Mikey; and surrogate parents Rose and Kenneth Colman and Tex and Peggy Winans.
Pallbearers will be: Eddie Rivera, Ricco Martinez, Matt Hutchinson, Chuy Salcido, Vince Smith, Craig Andrews, Damon West and Lonnie Jacquez.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Sammy Saiz, Ricky Bailey, Jesse Mendoza, Mikey Florez, Danny Mendoza, Derek Trulious, John Duran and Xavier Salcido.
The family requests that contributions be held until a scholorship is set up in memory of Eric at a later date which will be announced.
