My grandparents- blue-collar hardworking honest people. I think they were by far the funniest people I have ever known, including their large clan of brothers and sisters (aunts, uncles, cousins). Everyone of them was a comedian. Quick wit and happy. I believe it was their way to survive through struggling times, and how much they relied on family.

I never remember a Sunday without a large group of family around us laughing and telling stories. My only regret is that I wasn't old enough then to completely live in the moment, but these wonderful times together still left a lasting impression. Every time I see a Yankee game or hear horse racing on TV, or see the Godfather movie with Sonny wearing a T-shirt at the table, I think of my Grandfather with love in my heart.
