Edward H. Kyle, 62, a Knox County native who had lived in Fairmount, Ill. since 1952, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Urbana, Ill.

He was born June 4, 1907 in Bruceville, the son of Edward and Alma Watkins Kyle. He was a member of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are the widow, the former Nettie Hudson, whom he married Aug. 3, 1932; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Henrietta) Kyle, Fairmount, Ill; sisters, Mrs. Edith Tester, Bruceville, and Mrs. Ruth Strader, Indianapolis; brothers, Ralph Kyle, Fairmount, Ill., and William Kyle, Anaheim, Calif.; three granddaughters and three great-grandsons. A sister preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be at Carrington Funeral Home in Fairmount at 11 a.m. Tuesday and funeral will be at Flummerfelt-Goodwin Chapel here at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with burial in Royal Oak Church Cemetery. The Rev. Walter Hoalt and the Rev. James Wheeler will officiate. Friends may call at the Flummerfelt-Goodwin Funeral Home between 7 and 9 p.m. Tueday.
