He was born on January 14, 1893 in Merrill to the late Rudolph and Wilhelmine (Frederick) Hagedorn. He married Ella Gruetzmacher on June 10, 1925 in the Town of Pine River. Mrs. Hagedorn died on November 19, 1979. He lived and farmed in the Town of Pine River since 1898. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Muschinski; a son Richard Hagedorn; a brother, Arnold; a sister Mrs. Amanda Gruetzmacher all of Merrill along with four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 21, 1985 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Henning and the Rev. Dan Olson officiated with burial in Merrill Memorial Park. The Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
