On Passover, Friday evening, March 30, 2018, Shari Sierralta, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and favorite friend of so many, passed away at the age of 59 years. She passed with the same courage, grace, and dignity that she was known for throughout her life. Born in Waterbury, CT, on April 22, 1958, Shari will forever be remembered by her parents, Richard and Patricia Stethem, and her husband of 37 years, Phillip Sierralta, son, Nathaniel Sierralta, daughter Lauren Sierralta, brothers, Kenneth Stethem and Patrick Stethem, and brothers-in-law, Bobby Sierralta and Kenny Sierralta, extended family, and many friends. Shari was predeceased by her son Phillip Matthew and her brother Robert Stethem. Shari began working for Word of Life Assembly of God, in Springfield, VA in 1982. She spent the next 36 years working for and serving Pastor Cover, the staff and wonderful congregation of this church, and this community. A Celebration of Shari's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2018, at Word of Life Assembly of God, 5225 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151, with Pastor D.
