Richard "Dick" Gage was born to James "Douglass " Gage and Elizabeth Zumwalt Gage in 1937 in Houston Texas. He was the first Gage Grandson born to J.V. Vertner Gage & Leah Nicholson Gage . He was also the first great grandson of Judge Robert Douglas Gage & Lena Van Horn.He
graduated Lamar high school 1956 ,then enlisted in US Navy .he was on board USS Olmsted when they landed in beirut lebanon.After he left the navy , he returned to houston and married Jo Ann Hall 1959. they had 3 children Ricky, Glenn & Cheri. he loved sports and coached his boys.he worked for WS Bellows construction 22 yrs . he graduated from Univ. of Houston while also working for 9 yrs . ,graduating with a business degree .He was inducted into Texas Senior Softball Hall of Fame 2014. he leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many Gage cousins .We all love & miss him Rest in peace ,My oldest cousin ,Leah.
