PFC. U.S. Army, {RA16895096}, Vietnam War-PFC. Carmichael was killed in action by multiple fragmentation wounds on 11-18-1967 while serving as Light Weapons Infantryman with Co. A of the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade. Pfc. Carmichael started his tour of Vietnam on 4-17-1967.

He is the son of Mrs. Alice Carmichael of 3331 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Illinois. PFC. Carmichael was of the Baptist Faith.

Awards; Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
