Barbara E. Hall, 68, of Holton, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at New Marion Cemetery in Holton. Rev. Earl Thomas will officiate. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Born April 3, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara was the daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret Lockridge Clayton. She married James Hall on February 14, 1987. He survives.

Barbara retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center where she had worked as a housekeeper. She loved working on the genealogy of her family.

In addition to her husband, James, Barbara is survived by a daughter, Beth Meyer of Holton; two sons, Robert Ray Aldridge of Seymour and Cecil Lee McIntosh of North Vernon; a sister, Ruth Hill of Versailles; four brothers, Joe and Paul Clayton of Holton, Tim Clayton of Commiskey and Will Clayton of Osgood; as well as six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
