Bettie Ruth (Burnett) Bolden, age 79, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday May 27, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Bettie Bolden was born June 25, 1942 in Gadsden, Alabama.


She is preceded in death by her husband Larry J. Bolden Sr., mother, Mary Elizabeth (Reese) Burnett and father, Samuel Burnett. Bettie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son Larry J. Bolden Jr. of Lake Forest, California; siblings John Wesley Burnett, Angelette Burnett, Robbie Burnett, Andrea Burnett, and Kimberly (Burnett) Mitchelle.


Bettie spent over six years in the United States Army as a unit supply specialist. She was employed as a school bus aide with Taylor Motor Company at Ft. Campbell, KY. She was also employed as head cafeteria monitor at Kenwood Middle School in Clarksville, TN. She is a long serving member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church.


A memorial service with military honors will be conducted on Saturday June 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Concord Missionary Baptist Church located at 2411 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville, TN. Pastor Delbert Brown will officiate. Interment will be held at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery, West in Hopkinsville, KY.


Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Clarksville, TN.
