Joreta Franklin 60, Neosho, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at a nursing home in Neosho after a long illness.
Mrs. Franklin was born Dec. 16, 1937 (error), in Stone County. She moved to Neosho four years ago from Aurora. She formerly lived in Crane. She was a homemaker. She was a member of White Shrine of Missouri, a past Eastern Star worthy matron at Crane, and a former member of the Crane School Board.
She married Rex Franklin on Sept 12, 1956, at Crane. He survives. Additional survivors include two sons, Tom Franklin and Jeff Franklin, both of Neosho; a brother, Hadley Reser, Crane; a sister, Anita Ackerman, Granby; and three grandchildren.
Services will be in IOOF Cemetery, Neosho. The body will may be viewed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The casket will be closed at service time and remain closed. Contributions may be made to Boys' Town of Missouri, in care of the funeral home.
