Elizabeth Marie "Lizzy" Stec of Caro, age 14, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Lizzy was born September 16, 2003 in Bad Axe, the daughter of Travis Shane Stec and Dalia Lee Nuncio. She completed the ninth grade at Caro High School where she was active in the choir and chosen to sing the national anthem before several sporting events. Lizzy will be remembered for her silly personality and her remarkable ability to make people laugh. She was artistic by nature and was a gifted vocalist, pianist and songwriter with several of her songs being studio recorded. She was also looking forward to learning to play the guitar. Her powerful voice could leave goosebumps on anyone blessed to hear her. Many were surprised that a girl with her small frame could eat like she did, especially Chinese food and Takis. She would fearlessly defend her siblings and always knew that they would do the same for her.
Lizzy is survived by her mother, Dalia Nuncio and her fiancé, Aaron Brock, of Caro; father, Travis Stec and his wife, Heather, of Fairgrove; her siblings and best friends, Yasmine Lee Stec and Tristan Shane Stec, both of Caro; maternal grandparents, Rudolfo Nuncio of Owendale, Elisabel Nuncio of Elsa, Texas; paternal grandfather, Steve Stec of Fairgrove; step-siblings, Nailah, Nadia, Ramy, Ramon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lizzy was preceded in death by her Grammie, Carol Ann Stec in 2013.
The family will gather with friends to celebrate Lizzy's life at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Stec Family Discretionary Fund.
