GARR FUNERAL SERVICES OBITUARY – 2021
Paul A. Taylor, 84, peacefully passed away once his kids finally shut up and left him to rest on June 19, 2021. A strong, gentle man, Paul was born and raised in the Memphis/Sellersburg area. He served in the Air Force Reserve for eight years. A favorite memory he loved to share was when young, he was hitchhiking along Hwy. 31 and was picked up by Colonel Sanders. P.T. was a retired laborer from Essroc after 45 years and had the guns to prove it. He enjoyed bird watching, inventing, creating unique art, and loved being with family. Survivors include his daughter, Julie Taylor Wilson, her daughters, Jacque and Mary and her grandchildren Raylen and MaKenzie; son Eric W. Taylor, his wife Kristy, their children Isaac and Lucy; Aaron W. Taylor, his wife Moira, their children Harper, River, and Ryan; daughter-in-law Paula Taylor, her sons Zach and Adam; a brother, Bobby Taylor; and sister, Carole Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Janice June Ponder Taylor, his favorite son Tony, and seven siblings. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to Hosparus Health. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, beginning at 4 p.m. with some sort of service at 7 p.m.
