Mrs. Billie Barker Redgate, age 87, of Cedartown passed away Thursday May 6, 2021. She was born on January 1, 1934 in Sand Mountain, Alabama.
Mrs. Redgate graduated from Athens high school. She enjoyed reading and collecting dolls. She was a devoted member of Cedartown First United Methodist Church. She had retired from GMAC financing of Georgia after 42 years. When she retired, she was the assistant to the president of GMAC of Georgia. After retirement she moved back to Cedartown and began her 20 year career at H&R Block.
Mrs. Redgate was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Roy Winfrey and Ethel Inez Monroe Winfrey; brother, Ronnie Mack Winfrey.
She is survived by her husband, George "Paul" Redgate; sisters, Annette Holland, Sandra Swain; brother, Edward "Leroy" Winfrey.
Services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Nugent officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday May 15, 2021 at Smith & Miller Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
