Richard L. Workman, age 72 of Stockbridge, GA, passed away August 27, 2005.

Richard served in the Air Force for 4 years as a Staff Sergeant. He was the Director of Training at Southern Airways and left to go into business for himself in auto parts. He operated Workman AutoParts until his retirement at age 60.

He is preceded in death by son, Kimmy Workman. He is survived his wife, Mary; daughters, Jill Adams of Ormond Beach, FL and Betsy Rutherford of San Ramon, CA; son, Bill Workman of Lexington, NC; step-sons, Keith Swanner and Mark Swanner of Stockbridge: brother, Ed Workman of Parkersburg, W. VA; mother, Roxie Basnett of Vienna, W. VA, and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31 at First Christian Church of Stockbridge. Howard Taylor officiating. Those who wish may donations to the National Kidney Foundation, 2951 Flowers Rd., South, Suite 211, Atlanta, GA 30341.
