Billy Andrews was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Samuel J. and Dorothy Voris Andrews on December 19, 1950. He received his education in the local schools of Duval County, graduating from Samuel Wolfson High School in 1969.

Billy met the love of his life, Marva Louise Christopher while attending Wolfson High School. Billy and Marva married on February 8, 1974. They have 3 beautiful children born to their union, Monica, Damon, and Caroline and were later blessed with 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Billy began a career with Air Engineer, Inc. on March 18, 1974. Billy was known to his work family as Billy A. Billy showed up every day to his job always smiling and willing to do whatever it takes to complete the job and to do it well. After 30 years of dedication to his job, Billy retired on March 18, 2004, to spend more time with his family.

Billy is known as a man of his word. He was a person willing to always help others in need. If he tells you that he is going to do something, you better believe he will get it done!

Billy was a caring, faithful, loving husband, and loved his children and grandchildren like no other. He was and always will be their "Hero" who believed in the value of hard work, which was evident in his professional career. He provided abundantly for his family and always willing to help anyone in need. Known for his love of sports, especially his Jaguar team, cars, being outdoors with his grandkids, his calm demeanor, and gentle ways.

Billy battled with serious medical issues in recent years and showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Billy came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Rather you called him Billy, Billy A, Bill, Uncle Billy, or GOAT, he was a beautiful soul and will truly be missed.

Billy entered the gates of eternal life on June 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving daughters, holding their hands. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Dorothy Andrews; his son, Damon William Andrews; brothers Cecil "Wayne" Andrews, and Steve Andrews; and sister, Sandra Brinkley (Kevin).

Billy leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife of 47 years, Marva Louise Christopher Andrews; loving daughters, Monica Hitson (Alton) and Caroline Blake (Brandon); siblings, Brenda Stuckey and Karen Andrews (Don); grandchildren, Daisjah Andrews, TJ Andrews, Jaydyn Hitson, Damon Andrews Jr., Torryn Hitson, Brandon Blake Jr., and Bella Blake; great grands, Avah Thomas and Leah Thomas; special sister-in-law, Marilyn Andrews; special cousin, Gail Anderson; devoted friends, Ronnie "Sapp" aka Sabo and Billy Q; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
