James Wilbert Dixon, Sr., 69, a resident of Spanish Fort, AL exchanged his earthly home for his eternal home on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

He was born in the Mt. Carmel community of Millry, AL to E.J. and Connie (Dumas) Dixon.

Jim graduated from high school and joined the U.S. Army where he served his country for 4 years. After returning home, he began his career as a police officer for Millry Police Department and later for Jackson Police Department. In 1978, he began a new career at Olin Chemical where he remained until retirement. Upon retirement he became a full-time Pawpaw to his beloved grandchildren and joined the US Armed Forces Honor Guard of Baldwin County, where he proudly served his community. He was also a devoted Deacon at Eastern Shore Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Emmie Clarke.

JFuneral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Daphne, AL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
