Thelma L Ayers,of Roaring Spring, died at her home, following an extended illness.Miss Ayers retired as a bookkeeper from the Rose Hill Cemetery in 1967 after 40 years' service.She was born in Roaring Spring, a daughter of William and Myrtle (Brown) Ayers. Surviving are a sister, Lena F. Ayers, with whom she resided; a brother, W. Glenn of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Roaring Spring, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the church's Ramblers Circle, the Lutheran Church Women organization and the Gettysburg College League.She was a contributing member of the Blair County Historical Society. She was a member of the Roaring Spring Auxiliary Post of the American Legion, and she was a charter member of the Roaring Spring Business and
