Henry Marshall Fuller was born 4-26-1835 in Ohio the son of Samuel S. Fuller and Carolyn Hale Fuller, married 3-23-1820. At age 27, Henry enlisted in the Ninety-Sixth Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry Company G on August 4, 1862 for civil war duty in the following battles: Chickasaw Bayou, Arkansas Post, Vicksburg, Jackson, Grand Coteau (where taken prisoner and exchanged December 25, 1863), Sabine Cross Roads, Cane River, Fort Gaines, Fort Morgan (transferred to Co D November 18, 1864), Spanish Fort, Fort Blakely, Mobile and Whistler. Mustered out of company July 7, 1865. On October 14, 1865 he married Carolyn Roof in Delaware County Ohio. In 1873 Mr. and Mrs. Fuller moved to Missaukee County Michigan where they resided for seven years, moving from there to Cadillac. Henry passed away on June 14, 1894 from sunstroke. He is buried at Conklin, grave unmarked.
