"PENDLETON - Bryson Alan Bronson, 43, of Pendleton, died Monday, July 4, 2005, in a motor vehicle collision near Pendleton.

A dressing ceremony was held today at Burns Mortuary in Pendleton.Washat service will begin at 7 p.m. today at the Longhouse at Mission. Graveside service will be held at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Agency Cemetery.

A lifetime resident of the local area, Mr. Bronson was born May 2, 1962, at Pendleton to Virgil and Videll Burke Bronson. He attended Pendleton High School and had worked for various construction companies.

He was an avid basketball player and fan. He owned race horses and was a jockey in his early years. He liked hunting, fishing, and played horsehoes.

Survivors include his parents, Virgil and Videll Bronson of Pendleton; companion, Shana Alexander of Cayuse; stepson, Brennan Sohappy of Cayuse; stepdaughter, Jaci Sohappy of Pendleton; daughters, Maurice Bronson of Pendleton, Lexi Shania Bronson and Chyenne Kensi Bronson, both of Cayuse; brothers, Ron Bronson of Waitsburg, Wash., Richard Bronson, and Vern Bronson, both of Pendleton; sisters, Violet McGuire of Fairview, Verna Patrick of Pendleton, and Lawanda Bronson of Adams; and two grandchildren.

Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements."
