Monday morning Jack Kennedy and Ben Black of the postoffice force, who were at Grassy Lake, Oklahoma, about two and a half miles from here, discovered the dead body of Prof E E Hundley, principal of the Mill Creek school. The body was lying in a boat with the head hanging over one side. A large and gaping wound was on the left side just under the collar bone.
The supposition is that the deceased was rowing and placed the gun across the seat in front of him with the muzzle toward him; that he saw game, and in pulling the gun to take a shot, the trigger caught, exploding the weapon, the contents of the barrel entering the body at the place stated. - Fort Smith News-Record.
Prof Hundley was a member of the I O O F lodge at Williamson, W Va. It has also been learned that he was married man, but was separated from his wife and that a divorce proceeding was pending in the courts. He was about 55 or 60 years old. His father lives at Mace, W Va.
