LILLIAN BREAUX OBITUARY
Lillian Mary Gatte Breaux, 90, of Sweetlake passed away on February 29, 2020 at Camelot Rehabilitation at Magnolia Park in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Mrs. Breaux was born on March 8, 1929, in Gatte's Cove of Acadia Parish. When she married Lyon J. "Bebe" Breaux, she moved to Sweetlake, Louisiana where she lived the rest of her life. Mrs. Breaux was a member of St. Patrick's Ladies' Alter Society and the Home Demonstration Club. She loved her flowers and her garden, and spent many days working outside. In recent years, she loved reading Prayer Books, working word search puzzles, watching television and spending time with family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jennifer Breaux Hamilton and husband, Danny of Spring, Texas, Kevin G. Breaux and wife Arlene of Woodworth, Louisiana, Belva Breaux Hamilton and husband John of Youngsville, Louisiana, Juanita Breaux Nunez of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Wilson J. Breaux and wife Pat of The Woodlands, Texas, 18 Grandchildren, 20 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Breaux was preceded in death by her husband, Lyon J. "Bebe" Breaux, her infant son Darrell Breaux, her daughter, Wanda Breaux Landry, her son, Ronnie J. Breaux, granddaughter, Ashley Miranda Breaux, daughter-in-law, Elydia "Sue" Breaux and son-in-law, Jerry Nunez.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to her dear friends, Mrs. Erni Robinson, Mrs. Dezere Lynn Richard, Mr. Billy Taylor, and the late Mrs. Lena Guidry. The family would also like to thank the staff at Magnolia Park and Hospice of Acadiana and all of her caregivers, Terry Hebert, Lori Comeaux, June LaFleur, Yvonner Ceasar and Jackie Vickers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, March 2, 2020, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
