Robert David "Bob" Keppel passed from this life on June 14, 2021. He was born June 15, 1944.

Bob was a respected law enforcement officer in King County, WA who worked on and was instrumental in solving the Ted Bundy case and the Green River Killer case. Bob retired as the Chief Investigator for the Washington State Attorney General's Office. While working for the Washington State AG's office, Bob was instrumental in the creation of the Homicide Investigation Tracking System (HITS) that allowed law enforcement agencies to share information on homicide cases from around the state. Bob also served in the US Army as a Drill Sergeant, attaining the rank of Captain, and also served in the Vietnam War from 1967 - 1974.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Keppel in 2018.
