Janice attended Wyandotte High School. Janice was such a loving person who had the heart of gold and would give her last to anyone in need. She was a hard worker who touched many lives of the people she came in contact with. She loved fishing, gardening, crocheting, and puzzles. Janice was a mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister, and a friend to many.
Janice is survived by her husband Freddie D. Carter (Hume, MO); children, Jennifer and Nicholas Carter; grandchildren Imone', Emily, and Logan Carter; great grandchildren; JaMier & Ji'Aire Hooks (Kansas City, Kansas); siblings John and Rick Hamel (Shawnee, Kansas) She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives as well as friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Vicki Jo Shirley.
