Donald J. Olkives, 53, of Lake Geneva, Wis., died Monday, Nov. 12, at his home. He was born in Kenosha, Wis., on June 24, 1954, the son of Neal and Isabel (Renn) Olkives. He was a 1972 graduate of Wilmot, Wis., High School. On Oct. 20, 1973, in Wilmot, Wis., he was united in marriage to the former Debra Renje. He had worked for many years as a maintenance supervisor for Snap On Tool Co. He was a lover of bulldogs, breeding and raising them, his most recent loves are Emma, Stell, Thelma, and Greta. Donald is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debra, two children, Dayna (Ben) Quast of Union Grove, Wis., and Daniel Olkives of Milwaukee, Wis.; a grandson, Dante Quast; his parents, Neal and Isabel Olkives of Rib Lake, Wis.; a brother, Jerry (Sue) Olkives of Silver Lake, Wis., Julia (Jeff) Tumms of Rib Lake, Wis., and Krissy Vaughn of Medford, Wis. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home, 800 Park Dr., Lake Geneva, Wis., Chaplain Angie Alesci from Aurora V.N.A. Hospice will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva. Friends may call Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
