Thomas Eugene Dewey passed away peacefully Friday June 25, 2021 in Lander, Wyoming after enjoying his last several days with his family by his side reminiscing and telling stories.

Born May 8, 1940 in Michigan City, Indiana to Harry E. Dewey and Helen C. Dewey (Longnecker), his family moved to California where he grew up and attended Buena Park HS and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1958. After graduation, Tom attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo where he studied Dairy Husbandry, later enlisting in the Naval Reserves. While in California, Tom founded and became the first Chapter President of Buena Park FFA and also was President of Fullerton FFA. His love of the cattle would continue his entire life.

In 1961 he married Jerrilyn Frary and had four children from this marriage, Lori, Mike, David and Paul. They would later divorce. While married to Jerri, Tom owned and operated dairy's in both Oregon and Washington. His children also pursued his passion in the cattle industry and Tom took a vested interest in helping his children with livestock shows with their local 4H clubs and FFA. He was also a member of the Clark County Holstein Club. Later in his children's life some would also pursue the dairy and farming industry, and he would be there to give advice solicited or not.

In the late 1980's Tom moved to Wyoming and worked on a dairy in Pavillion and in 1991 he married Susan Baldwin and through that marriage gained a daughter, Tara. After marrying he worked for Wolf Drilling where he remained until injury forced him to retire.

In later years you would find Tom the happiest in the outdoors, hunting, fishing or helping his friends brand on their ranches. If he couldn't be found there you would find him in his woodshop creating pieces that the family would treasure along with memories made.

In his retirement years you would find him volunteering at the One Shot Past Shooter sight in, or the Vancouver Farmers Market.

Tom is survived by his wife Susan Dewey of Lander, WY. Sister Diane Dewey McGraw of Springdale Arkansas. Daughter Lori Kytola (Jeff) and their children Emily, Sam and Mikayla Kytola all of Brush Prairie WA. Son Michael Dewey (Terri) and their children Katie, Carsen and Colton all of Yelm WA. Son David Dewey of Medford OR, son Paul Dewey of Amboy WA. Daughter Tara Romans (Tony) and Taylor of Lander WY. Along with many nieces and nephews.
