York - William F. Spangler, Sr., 74, entered into rest on Monday morning June 28, 2021, at his residence. He was the husband of Shelba E. (Brenneman) Spangler. They were married on January 27, 1968, in Towson, MD.
He was born September 12, 1946, in York. The son of the late Eugene G. Spangler, Sr. and Edith (Baublitz) Spangler.
William was a US Army veteran serving from 1965-1967. He retired in 2008 from LIFT, Inc. in Lancaster where he drove truck for 20 years, prior to that he was a teamster driver for Associated Wholesalers of York driving there for over twenty years He loved to repair things in his spare time, spend time with his granddaughter and listen to country music.
Including his wife Shelba, William is also survived by a son William F. Spangler, Jr. a daughter Carol L. Spangler and a granddaughter Kelsey Jacoby.
A viewing will be 10-11 am Friday, July 2, 2021, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2114 W. Market St. York. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with burial to follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the York County Veteran Honor Guard.
The family would like to thank the Hillman Cancer Center and Homeland Hospice for the great care he received in his time of need!
