Ruth was born November 11, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late James Francis Smith and the late Cora Mae Smith (nee - Dawkins). She is the beloved wife of the late Arthur Pieczatka; mother of Kathy Foell and her husband Stephen; grandmother of Brent North and his wife Melanie, Tyler North, and Keriann Morales and her husband Michael; great grandmother of Jameson Michael Morales; sister of the late Stella Cichocki and her husband the late Joseph, the late Edward Smith and his wife the late Joan, and the late Christine Wrubel and her husband William. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born, and raised in Philadelphia. She worked at Strawbridge & Clothier for more than 25 years. Ruth was a member of many ladies organizations and travel groups with her friends.
