Jimmy was born in Austin, Texas, the third of six children of Ted and Margaret Duffy Aanstoos. Soon after his birth, the family relocated to Taylor, Texas, his mother's hometown.

While his career took him to other places, Taylor was always his home.

He loved being a Taylor Duck! A 1969 graduate of Taylor High School, who maintained close relationships with his classmates throughout his life.

Jimmy attended St. Edward's University in Austin and graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in political science.

Progressively challenging jobs took him to Brownsville, Dallas, Washington D.C. and Arlington, Texas. Ultimately, he landed back in Taylor, working for the Taylor Chamber of Commerce and various economic development agencies in the area.

Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, his sister Mary Aanstoos Bonner, sister in law Charlotte Schwartz Aanstoos and his former wife, Trish Aanstoos Domke.

He is survived by his siblings and in laws Ted Aanstoos (Jill), Mike Aanstoos (Linda), Rob Aanstoos and Alice Aanstoos (Mark Yust) as well as special cousin David Honeycutt (Marie Louis Crozat) and dear friend Ima Jean Weise.

Jimmy is also survived by his children Meg, Glenn and William Aanstoos, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, fellow Taylor Ducks and many close friends.

No funeral services are planned. Private graveside services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Taylor with Father Keith Koehl officiating.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylor, Texas, or any charity of your choice.

"Once a Duck, always a Duck!" Fly high, Stoos!
