Janette Spradley, 73, of Lake City FL passed away July 1, 2021 surrounded by her devoted & loving family. She leaves behind her hero - her husband of 59 years, James Spradley. Janette was raised in South Florida where she met her hero and had her number one son Larry, also two daughters Lynn & Linda.  She moved to Lake City in 1995 where she worked for Haeco and retired after over 20 years of employment.

 

You could often find Janette surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Making memories with them and going on adventures was her favorite.  She loved Disneyworld, camping, balconies over the beach, and Saturday morning coffee.  She absolutely did NOT love the NY Jets.

 

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ethel and Winford Piper; brother,  Allen Thompson. Several brother's in laws, Tony Keith & John DuBoise; son in law, Scot Gardner, and one mean cat named Fred - who was a girl.

 

She is survived by husband James Spradley; children, Lynn Gardner, Linda Johns, and Larry Spradley (Michael St Bernard); Sisters, Beatrice DuBoise & Alma Reaves; grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Smith, Amanda (Travis) English, Brandy (Miss Kitty) Gardner, Becca (Trammell) Dicks; and her ten absolutely perfect great grandchildren, Austin Nash, Emma Nash, Brantlee Dicks, Brantley English, Savannah Hamilton, Violet Smith, Waylon Dicks, Asher English, Parklyn Dicks, Atlas English. She also leaves behind many very loved sisters in law, a brother in law, nieces & nephews, and friends that her children brought home who she decided she wanted to love like her own.

 

A celebration of life will be held on July 17, 2021 at the Fort White Community Center at 2pm. 17579 SW State Road 47 Ft White FL 32038. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
