Leonard Franklin Taylor was a United Methodist Minister of the Gospel, having been ordained before 1900.

Leonard Franklin Taylor was first recorded in Hickman's Township, Tuscaloosa Co., AL in 1860. He was listed incorrectly as Levi F. Taylor, age 6, born in AL. He was in the home of his parents. His father was Grant Taylor. His mother, the former Malinda Slaughter was incorrectly listed as Mary J. Slaughter. Also in the home were Leonard's younger brothers, James Jackson Taylor and Matthew Baines Taylor.

The Grant Taylor family was in Pickens Co., AL in 1870, and Leonard Taylor was 16 years old.

Sometime after 1870, Leonard Taylor married Harriet E., born ca. 1852 in AL, and her parents were born in SC.

If I have mistakenly led someone to believe her maiden name was Jernigan, I apologize. That is the information I was given, and as of this date, I have not proven it.
