Robert Fouts
August 15, 1931 - June 15, 2021
Nampa, Idaho - Robert "Bob" Duane Fouts was born in Ottawa, Kansas on August 15, 1931 to Inez Katherine Crawford and Edwin Duane Fouts. The family moved to Boise in 1933. Bob was the first of five children and the only one to graduate high school (much to the delight of his mother) graduating from Boise High School in 1949. Bob married Geraldine Joanne Swift in 1949 and they had one daughter Deborah Susan (Lawrence) Sanders. Bob's first marriage ended in 1964. On June 16, 1965 Bob married Geraldine May Braman McDaniel who brought to their marriage one daughter, Jeannine Marie (Rick) Brandel. Jeannine and Rick gave Bob four grandchildren: Trevor, Jordan, Kellen and Taryn who grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Bob spent his career in the sale of heavy equipment for Caterpillar, International Harvester and John Deere. He ended his career as President of John Deere CESCO. Bob enjoyed cattle ranching, Native American and Civil War History, golf, hunting, fishing and traveling the world. Bob was a great storyteller and always had great stories about people and places, particularly his beloved Boise. Bob was also a classic car enthusiast, as a collector and showman.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Gerry, his parents, sister Peggy Gossi, brothers Raymond and Dale Fouts. He is at peace now but is missed in our hearts. We will be spreading his ashes in August.
