Puz graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor of Science in 1949. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Kokomo for 31 years, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Pampa for 14 years, and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hot Springs Village, AR for 25 years.
Puz enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, sewing, needlepoint, and working puzzles. When Puz lived in Kokomo she volunteered her time at Howard Community Hospital.
In the past Puz and Walter and their family enjoyed many years camping and traveling with friends. Their destinations took them to 47 states.
She loved caring and tending to the wildlife that always frequented her backyards.
Puz enjoyed time spent with family including her 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and everyone's pets ( that always knew to go to Puz who faithfully provided them with many treats).
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Walter. Her two sons David and Linda McFatridge ( Kokomo, IN). Doug and Sheila McFatridge ( Pampa, TX). Two grandchildren Jessica ( McFatridge) and Jonathan Hollingsworth ( Russiaville, IN). Andrew and Nicole McFatridge (Noblesville, IN)Four great grandchildren Hadley and Henry Hollingsworth and Harper and Tate McFatridge.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister Barbara and daughter Ann Louise McFatridge (2009).
A Celebration of Life for Puz will take place at St. Andrew Episcopal Church; Tuesday, July 13, 2021 with Father Richard Lightsy officiating. Visitation will be held prior from 12-1pm.
