Alvin Clay Rust, 43, of Benton, Ark., formerly of Poteau, passed away Friday, July 25, 2003. He was born June 13, 1960.

He was preceded in death by his father, Halton Rust.

Survivors include his mother, Margie Rust of Fort Smith; six sisters, Pat Tate-Lee, Kathryn Vineyard and Donna Martin, all of Fort Smith, Mary Wise and Ruby Midgley, both of Poteau and Patricia Phipps of Mountainburg, Ark.; four brothers, Kenneth Rust and Rickey Rust, both of Fort Smith, Charlie Rust and Terry Rust, both of Poteau; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and loved ones; and many beloved friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion at Poteau. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery at Poteau under the direction of Wilson Calhoun Funeral Home of Little Rock, Ark.
