Ruel Aldrich Jr. was born February 27 1832 in Pittsfield, Berkshire Co. Massachusetts.

He married Sarah E. McCashen in Shelby County Ohio on June 16 1853. Ruel Aldrich Jr. was a Civil War Veteran and was a Corporal in Company D, 21st Iowa Infantry.

Sarah died June 1871 in Clayton County Iowa. Ruel Aldrich Jr. later married Mary Ann Torrey in Ramsey County Minnesota on January 1874.

The two Ruel Aldrich grave markers are confused as one grave; but actually are two different people, one is Ruel Sr. and the other is Ruel Jr.
