Edward H. "Ed" Abrahamsen, 74, of Mt. Bethel, PA passed away Saturday, July 10th, at Spring Village of East Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, PA.

Ed was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 8, 1947, a son of the late Harold and Alfhild (Froyen) Abrahamsen.

He was the husband of Alice K. (Andersen) Abrahamsen. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this past March. Ed was a project manager for AT&T in New York City & Bedminster, NJ, for 32 years. After retiring he worked at Tuscarora Inn & Conference Center for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army in Alaska and during a week of leave time, he and his wife Alice got married in Brooklyn, NY and both moved to Alaska.

Ed was a member of Mt. Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church in Mt. Bethel, PA, where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Boys Club.

In addition to his loving wife Alice, Ed is survived by a son, Brian Abrahamsen, husband of Janet, a daughter, Kimberly Gambale, wife of Rob, a sister, Lorry Stibitz, wife of Ken, 6 grandchildren: Ryan, Kayla & Joseph Gambale, and Anna, Ingrid, & Anders Abrahamsen, and nieces and their families.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, July 16th at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Friday, July 16th at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Christenson officiating. Burial will be held on Saturday, July 17th, at 11 AM at Reformed Cemetery, Upper Mount Bethel Twp., PA.
