Mary was the sixth of ten children born to George and Elisabeth Hanna (Moody) Moose. She married John Addison Peck in 1877 and they had twelve children: Dora Emma, Hanna Ann, George Julius, Lilly Ellen, Attie Jane, Mary Brown, John Murphy, Berry Luther, Minnie Rose, Essie Frances, James Frank Jimmie, and Bertha Lee.
