Gabriel Lee "Gabe" Fruge-Lejeune, a resident of DeQuincy, Louisiana was born November 9, 2001 and passed away July 11, 2021 at the age of 19.
One of Gabe's favorite scriptures was "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" John 1:5.
He is survived by his mother, Kelly Jean Fruge of DeQuincy, father, Richard Lee Lejeune of Singer, sisters, Trinity Fontenot and Nevaeh Fontenot, brother, Daren Lejeune; grandparents, Patsy and Roland Lejeune and Paula Chauvin, great grandmother, Iris Richard, niece, Amelia Lejeune, nephew, Cooper Lejeune, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his best friend, Matthew Nevils.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Lee Fruge, Jr.
Gabe loved his family and friends very much, so much so he left a letter of instructions for those he held dear.
To My Family and Friends:
Let me make this clear. When I die, do not use my death as an excuse to drink yourself into an oblivion or get so high that you end up in the hospital almost overdosing. I understand that my death will be hard on a lot of people. But I'd rather you spit in my face than to use my death as a reason to get wasted or messed up. You seeing me pass should act as a way to realize how short life is and how you should cherish it. Not become self destructive. Don't let my passing ruin you. My death will not be responsible for you picking up an addiction or alcohol problem. I did not enter this world to cause this effect. When I die I want people to see the beauty of life and appreciate it and all of it's hidden values. So if you plan on ruining yourself after I am gone, I would rather us not to have met at all. I don't want your demise on my conscience when I am gone. Thank you and I love you. Gabe
