Military Figure, Politician. General Álvaro L. Mondragón Alcázar was a Mexican military man who participated in the Mexican Revolution. His first studies were in his native state and secondary and preparatory at the English College, in the capital; at the French Lyceum he studied social sciences and languages. in 1910 he joined the electoral campaign and in 1911 the Liberation Army of the South, in the forces of General Felipe Neri Jiménez. He obtained promotions recognized by the Constitutionalist Army, which he joined around 1915. He participated in the Convention of Aguascalientes and later joined General Pablo González Garza. He participated in various campaigns against the Zapatista conventionist forces. He was a deputy for the district of Jojutla to the Constituent Congress from 1916 to 1917. Later he fought in favor of the Plan of Agua Prieta, being promoted to Brigadier General. He held multiple positions: in 1924 he was governor of Morelos; in 1927, Inspector General of the Morelos Police; in 1935, treasurer of the Department of the Federal District; in the government of Manuel Ávila Camacho he was a special inspector of the Post Office. His last years were dedicated to agriculture in Morelos, where he died.
