Barbara was born in sunny California to Adam and Annie Brenner and big sister, Nancy. She also lived in Wisconsin, but mostly in various suburbs of Chicago, IL. Barb married in 1972 and in 1975, and had one daughter, Laurie, who now has three daughters: Brittany, Nicole, and Shelby. In her very early thirties her family moved to Michigan. Shortly thereafter, the devastating schizophrenia struck and she valiantly battled with it the rest of her life. All of her life, Barb had a tremendous love for animals, thoroughly enjoyed her pets, and loved identifying birds. Her dream was to become a veterinary assistant. She also found sitting at a quiet beach to be very peaceful, calming, and soothing. Barb had a gentle soul with a gift for being very kind, forgiving, and loving, which filled her heart and spirit. Although we are happy for her now that she is totally healed, in no pain, and experiencing God's eternal, unconditional love; she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A Memorial Service for Barbara will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
