Roberta Ann (Licht) Thieding, 72 of Loganville went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 15th, 2021 after a courageous and hard-fought battle against ovarian cancer. She was born on June 18, 1949 in Reedsburg to Willard and Adeline (Schultz) Licht. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville and it was her faith that kept her spiritually strong and positive throughout this fight. She was a 1967 graduate of Webb High School and was the first in her family to go to college earning her R.N. degree from St. Mary's School of Nursing - Madison in 1970. She was united in marriage to Harlan Thieding on June 27, 1970 at St. Peter's in Loganville and together they celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2020.

Roberta spent a few years working at the Reedsburg Hospital before staying home to care for their three children and work on the farm, first jointly farming with her sister and brother-in-law then moving to their own farm in 1984. Together they also fostered 7 children over a 6-year period. She was actively involved in Zion Lutheran Stone Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, member of the choir, Ladies' Aid and church council. She also participated in the Elder Ridge Homemaker's group for many years. Once her children were grown, she returned to nursing with the Reedsburg Physician's Group for over 20 years. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them achieve their many milestones in life, even being present for Eli's birth.

Roberta is survived by her loving and devoted husband: Harlan; children: Lisa (Greg) Schulenberg of Pittsboro, IN, Todd Thieding of Loganville and Sara (Leon) Zinck of Dane; her four grandchildren: Nick & Megan Schulenberg, Eli & Callie Zinck; three sisters: Marie Bryan of Kanarraville, UT, Jan (Dave) Towne of Mount Pleasant, IA and Terri (Rob) Tomaszewski of Montello; brothers-in-law: Ernie Thieding of McFarland and Roy (Annetta) Thieding of Colwich, KS;. many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws: Ernest & Agnes Thieding and sister-in-law: Sharon Thieding.

Visitation is Monday, July 19th from 4:00 – 7:30 pm at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be conducted at Zion Lutheran Stone Church in Westfield Township on Tuesday, July 20th at 11:30 am with visitation prior at 10:30 am. Her family would like to thank the many family and friends from Zion, the Ridge and her RAMC work family for the never-ending love and support.
