American vocalist with the group "The Skyliners". Janet hailed from Pittsburgh, Pa. The Skyliners hits were, "Since I Don't Have You", "This I Swear", "Pennies From Heaven", "How Much", "My Lonely Way", and a host of others. Janet's contibutions to the group are pricless, especially her beautiful high notes at the end of "Since I Don't Have You". Janet was survived by her husband; Terrence Rapp, Sons; Gavin and Kip, a daughter; Marlo, her parents; Mr and Mrs Jerome Vogel and her sister; Dee Dee (Diane). She comitted suicide on February 21, 1980 in the garage of her home from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. She was 37 years old. In 2012 Jan's son, Gavin Rapp, told her story in the indie film "Since I Don't Have You", which will be available on DVD in late fall, early winter 2014.
