CONVOY - Mrs. Sarah A. Oeschle, 76, of 450 Oak St., Convoy, died at 7:30 a.m. today at the Van Rue Geriatric Center, where she had been a patient for one month. Born Dec. 23, 1890, in Ohio City, she was the daughter of Farmer and Anna (McClure) Putman. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband Lewis Oeschle, whom she married in April, 1957; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Guendlyn) Schmidt of Fort Wayne; a brother, Peter Putman of Toledo; a sister, Mrs. Karl (Edna) Gruenke of Toledo, and a grandson. She was preceded in death in 1954 by her first husband, Peter Agler. Two sisters are also deceased. Friends may call at the H.D. Smith Funeral Home after 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Lynn Mefford officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
